Horses Raised in a Natural Environment

The focus of Prairie Winds Palominos is breeding, training, and sale of safe, people-friendly horses for trail, pleasure riding, ranch work, and showing.

Our ranch in northeast Kansas provides an environment in which our horses can learn lessons essential to their natural development. They are permitted to "be horses" while finding and living their roles as members of a herd. At the same time, they are handled frequently so they understand to respect humans as leaders. 

Breeding Program

The goal of our breeding program is to produce versatile horses. In our quarter horse breeding, we strive for balanced conformation, calm dispositions, and athleticism. In our cross-breeding program, our goal is to combine the best characteristices of each breed.
